Why waste your time looking over hotels.com, booking.com, google reviews, and TripAdvisor like I did, trying to find the "perfect" hotel for your stay in Marrakech? Look no further, Riad Al Badia is the place to book, please trust me and you will not be disappointed! Danielle (my partner) and I stayed at Riad Al Badia 14th - 17th April and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotels and experiences I have had. We were picked up from the airport and walked to our Riad by the driver. We were greeted at the door by Youssef, Asma and team, where they gave us fresh mint tea, and explained the do and dont's of the city as well as went through a map of the city. Youssef went one step further on our first night and walked us to the main square so we didn't get lost.The Riad was very clean, and made us feel at home. It smelt amazing and was so peaceful, exactly what you need when out in the souks all day. The bedroom was always cleaned and breakfast was amazing, 10/10. We also had dinner at the Riad which was so fresh, tasty and impeccable service. Nothing was too little or too small for the team. If we had an issue, they resolved it. If we had a question, they resolved it. If we didn't have a smile on our face, they resolved it. Such great people and honestly they are all a credit to this Riad. If it was not for the people delivering such a great service, our experience would not have been the same.We wish Riad Al Badia and the staff all the best, and really hope to meet you all again when we come back to stay in Marrakesh. Before selecting to stay at Riad Al Badia, we also looked at other Riad's in Marrakech which were slightly cheaper although due to the glowing reviews, we made the decision to spend a little extra and book here.It absolutely did not disappoint, whilst the Riad itself is beautiful, Laurent and his staff were incredible throughout our stay, continually going above and beyond for us.On arrival, Laurent sat with us for 15-20 minutes, giving us a great overview of the local area, places he recommended that we visit and what to expect in and around Marrakech. This made us instantly feel at home.When we were looking to arrange a quad biking experience in the area, we needed to borrow a phone to book in advance and arrange pickup. When we asked at the Riad to borrow a phone to make a call, Laurent himself called on our behalf and made sure that the driver knew the best location to collect us.Prior to our final day, we asked about when check-out time at the property was and if we would be able to leave our luggage as we had an evening flight out of Marrakech. Instead, we were allowed to keep the room until our departure so that we had additional time to pack and shower before leaving. Overall, I do not think we could have had a better experience by staying anywhere else in Marrakech and I would love to return one day.

The Riad is the best decision we took while looking for accommodation. I am so pleased to have gone away from the chain hotels. If you like to immerse in local culture while you are on holiday, this is the place to be. It is near the centre(15 minutes stroll if you dont stop anywhere - usually took us 30 minutes since there are so many interesting things to see. You will not imagine what is beyond the front door of the Riad when you walk down an alleyway ( we never felt unsafe, and we returned late mist nights). It is like an oasis in the desert. Hospitality lessons should start here. From a welcoming mint tea, the first dinner, airport transfers, arrangement of trips, general advice, mint tea whenever you want....the lost is endless. Nothing was too difficult for Laurent. If you want to visit Marrakech, stay at this Riad, otherwise your trip will be incomplete.

We have not stayed in other Riads so have no comparison, but this truly was a wonderful few days for us. Really felt like we received a personal service...

We have not stayed in other Riads so have no comparison, but this truly was a wonderful few days for us. Really felt like we received a personal service as houseguests in a beautiful location. Riad staff invited us to ‘just ask’ if we needed assistance with anything and they literally helped with everything we needed. As a comparison we stayed at the St Regis in Istanbul this time last last year and that 5* place was actually less accommodating than this Riad!!Food service in the evening requires 24hr notice, but don’t miss out. Best food we have eaten in Marrakech. Best value in Morocco to be honest. Staff are 100% fluent in English, French, Arabic and SpanishI don’t often leave five star reviews, but this certainly deserves it!!

Our stay at Riad Al Badia was absolutely perfect! Laurent and his helpers are just adorable. They picked us up at the airport and gave us all the tips and tricks for a successful stay in in Marrakesh over a cup of mint tea upon arrival. Every morning we were met with a big smile and a lovely traditional breakfast (different sorts of fruits and pastries every day), then we were followed to the door by Laurent himself showing us directions. Always clean, quite and warm in opposition to the chilly winter nights of Médina. At the rooftop you can enjoy the warm sun in a quite atmosphere in the daytime, before walking out to the chaos of the city. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful, even better than the reviews say. Youssef and his staff were so welcoming and took the best care of us in every way, day and night. The personalized breakfasts were elegant and more than sufficient. Visually so beautiful and calming. As for the practical stuff, beds and pillows were perfect; excellent in room a/c, few outlets but sufficient if you a bring multi-power cord; no TV but honestly it was a better without one; plenty of hot water but plan to shower before midnight bc the hot water goes out; it's a 2 minute walk from the street, Jamal and Youssef helped us with our bags; airport pickup was perfect, Jamal the driver was wonderful; 2 min walk to the mosque (for those who pray), but the call to pray is not audible (probably a good thing for those who don't). I could go on and on, only good things. Thank you for a most memorable stay. And thank you for the wonderful surprise anniversary cake, compliments to the chef as well!

We stayed here last October, hospitality second to none. We had an evening meal which was delicious. My partner had been here in the spring with some friends and so fell in love with the Riad Al Badia that she immediately booked a weekend for me and her. Laurent is a wonderful host, charming. He told us where to go, how to get there and how to miss the crowds - we are in fashion so it was important for us to see the YSL museum - he organised it so well with horse and carriage that we missed the crowds and truly enjoyed the museum. There is nothing bad I can say - it was a marvelloius experience and one which I will hope to reapeat in the coming year. So if you´re going to Marrakech - give Laurent a call, you couldn´t do better for an authentic experience.
